Wedding Bells

I have been quite busy these days.  I guess that is how summer usually is.   I haven't really had time to craft.  I went to a wedding yesterday and made this card quickly before I went.  I used something old and something new.  The something new is the sentiment.  I won the Friday Friends with flair last week and received this stamp from that.  The something old is pretty much everything else.  The two hearts were cut with a cricut.  I have these laying around for well over a year in my random scrap/embellishment stack.  I finally used them.

Well I was really hoping to make a more exciting card.  I am having guests stay with me this weekend and my craft room is also my guest room so I had to put everything away.  Maybe next week I will have a little more time.

Something old. something new. something borrowed, something blue.

I originally intended just to make a card with something old and something new, but I realized there was something borrowed and something blue.  The bear is a free digital image.  The Twin is what is NEW! It is
May Arts twine! I love it!  The something old, is the blue paper I used.  I have had  for well over a year.  The something borrowed is the swiss dots embossing folder used on the kraft paper.

A Vellum Challenge

So, I have seen people enter the CAS-ual Fridays challenges for a long time.  I finally decided to try my hand at it and enter. This weeks challenge is "vellum or acetate".  I don't have any acetate, and I hardly have any vellum, but I still was able to make a card.  The flower is layered vellum that I made with a border punch.  Feel free to enter yourself.  

Oh. Random.  I had the idea to put embossing powder on buttons.  I love the result!!

Unstampabelles Ribbon challenge

I found the unstampabelles challenge page a while ago, but haven't entered a challenge yet.  This month's challenge is "Ribbon".  The ribbon  I used for this card is from May Arts, Really Reasonable Ribbon, and Michaels.  All of the challenges that unstampabelles have you can not use any form of a stamp or digi.  I think   it really expands your creativity.  Feel free to enter.  Here is their website: http://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com/

A crafting and sewing challenge

I made this card for the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog challenge.  This month's challenge is Yellow! I used to not like yellow,  but now I like it a lot.  I still don't feel like I really have learned to incorporate it beautifully yet.  It is not a go to color for me, but it was nice to have a challenge where I had to use it.  You can find the challenge here: http://crafterscompanion-challenge.blogspot.com/

I found another challenge blog called Stampin' Sisters in Christ.  Every challenge they have is inspired by a Bible verse.  I think that is kind of cool.  You get to enter a fun challenge and you also get to think about a Bible verse.  The theme of this challenge is "action".  I don't really have action stamps so I decided to choose the option of not including a sentiment.  I am pretty good at that already.  It is actually kind of a problem.

Friends with Flair

I made this card for Friends with Flair.  I realized when I was making this card that I need more Unity stamps.  Ok, well I don't need them, but it sure would be nice to have them.  I feel very limited at the moment with what I have. I used the Artist in You set.  I guess that provides another challenge to be creative with what you have. I may also enter this card in the Ippity challenge.  I am not sure yet.  Thanks for stopping by.  

Frosted Designs Challenge- Punches

Here is the card I made for the challenge.  I thought I would try to make a card with just punches and paper. This was a true challenge.  I don't have very many punches.   I basically used all the punches I have.
