Ippity Challenge

                            I am trying to branch out and enter some challenges.  This card I made for the Ippity challenge.  The challenge it to create a card using only Ippity/Unity stamps and to stamp on designer paper.  I am not totally sure what they mean by "designer" paper.  I stamped on paper from Authentique.  This was a little challenging.  I don't have very many Unity stamps and the I don't typically stamp on patterned/designer paper.  I like being challenged though.  You can enter the challenge too.  Here is the link: http://www.unityopportunity-challenge.blogspot.com/ I also am entering this card in the Sweet Stamps challenge. Cards for Mom

I love this stamp!! It is from Crafter's Companion.  I colored it with Promarkers. My mom loves Irises so I sent this to her.  She has been needing a little encouragement these days anyways.

Here is another purple card I made.  I ended up giving this to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. 

The Redheaded Crafter

I was super excited to find the Redheaded Crafter's blog.  I am also a redheaded crafter.  It is not as uncommon as I wish it was to be a red head, but I still think it is kind of special.  Amy is the redheaded crafter's name.  She is super sweet and makes amazing cards!  Go and check out her blog Here: http://redheadedcrafter.blogspot.com/ .  She is celebrating her one year anniversary with a very sweet giveaway.  I hope you enjoy her blog as much as I have.

Frosted Designs Quilting Challenge

I have always wanted to make a "quilted" card.  I saw that Frosted Designs was having a quilting challenge, so I decided it was time.  I cut up a bunch of one inch squares and then glued them in an alternating patter on a piece of paper.  I then cut out the "quilt" with the Sizzix Top Note die (borrowed from my mother-in-law as well as the her cuttlebug).  I ended up cutting the border off and putting a green cut out behind it.  I sewed a little on the card too.  The "Thanks" stamp is a Stampin Up stamp. (also borrowed from my mother-in-law)  I added pearls and lace for some more interest.

Here is another card inspired by Jessica. The picture didn't turn out super great.  I am still figuring out the best way to attach ribbon to ribbon.  Any suggestions?  

Jessica's Craft Shaque Entry #5

So this is my second attempt at making a rainbow card.  I am not sure if it turned out.  I don't have a cloud punch.  I think it would look better if I had one or two big clouds at the bottom.  I really wanted the rainbow  stripes to touch but for some reason I just couldn't do it.  Below is my complete fail at making a rainbow card. :(

Cards and a Catch

I kind of stole the idea for this card from a photo I saw.  It like the antique look.

I just received this stamp set in the mail today!  It is so fun to receive a package!  It is called "Cute Companions - Romance" from Crafters Companion.  I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this card.  I just wanted to play with my new stamps.  I colored it with Promarkers.  I really like the look of the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment.

So, my husband is a commercial fisherman.  He loves fish and fishing!  Well, it is salmon season. He really wanted to catch a salmon.  I really wanted him to catch one too! We both love salmon. Well, he did, on a kayak no less!  Here is a picture for proof.  I am so proud of him!
